Carmina pauses before the corners of her mouth curl upwards. โYou’re a carbonara man?”
“I’m an ‘eat everything’ man.” I blink. “I figured you knew that about me by now.”
I regret the insinuation the second it’s out of my mouth. But to my surprise, Carmina just laughs, a full-bodied sound that echoes through the quiet bookstore.
“Alright,” she says with an exasperated smirk. “A talk. And some carbonara.”
“And no weapons.”
